NFP is a leading property and casualty broker, benefits consultant, wealth manager, and retirement plan advisor. They enable client success through the expertise of professionals across the globe, investments in innovative technologies, and enduring relationships with highly rated insurers, vendors, and financial institutions.

We talked with Wendy Donaghue, Vice President of Client Operations, and Luis Balauag, Vice President, in the Illinois office to learn more about their decision to partner with ThreeFlow and their experience.

Why did you choose ThreeFlow?

Anything we can do to be more efficient and consistent is critical for us. So, we initially started investigating the capabilities of ThreeFlow in the fall of 2021, but it wasn't until the following year, when we acquired a brokerage firm in Indianapolis already using ThreeFlow, that we decided to make a big push to transition our workflow to the platform.

That office could answer our questions and share their learnings and experiences with us. That assistance, paired with ThreeFlow's help in getting all of our data on the platform, helped get us going quickly.

We call ThreeFlow our power multiplier because it creates efficiencies and process wins."

What are some of the most significant benefits you and your team have experienced since working on ThreeFlow?

We call ThreeFlow our power multiplier because it creates efficiencies and process wins. It helps us automate, make the workflow consistent, and maintain all of our data in one place. The set-up is a one-time process—from there, we can easily update and maintain the accounts.

And anybody can jump in to keep the momentum going on an account because the data is already there.

On our team, the benefit analysts are in charge of sending the RFPs and spreadsheeting data. With ThreeFlow, the more data we're able to put in, the easier the life of the benefit analysts become, from marketing to requesting renewals or updating coverages. The ThreeFlow team was very helpful in identifying and loading that client data. We currently have 92 groups in ThreeFlow, and that's a huge win for our benefit analysts.

Putting in that data entry work also allows us to see better insights. As a leader, I appreciate ThreeFlow Insights, their in-app market data. We can see where we're getting the most business and the premium by product vertical. It's worth it to spend the time to do that to have that view.

What would be your advice to firms considering changing their current process?

We knew it would be a change in process but a change for the better. Anything we can do to be efficient and consistent is critical. We feel that the more offices we can get on this, the more it can become part of our national service, and we can all motivate and learn from each other.
